Chinese Administrators Visitation October 2010

In October 2010, as part of the CEI administrtators shadowing project, four administrators from China shadowed four Berks County administrators from Schuylkill Valley, Conrad Weiser Area, Oley Valley, and Wilson School Districts. As part of the exchange, the Chinese administrators first attended orientation sessions at the University of Pittsburgh and then traveled to Berks County where they were greeted by their partner principals at a welcome reception hosted by Berks County Intermediate Unit. During their Berks County visit, the administrators resided with host families and shadowed their partner administrators in classrooms, at board meetings, and other school and community events. They also visited Berks Career and Technology Center, participated in a faculty-to-faculty exchange session with Penn State Berks faculty members, and toured Valley Forge National Park. A farewell dinner was held at Yellow House Hotel to celebrate the new friendships that were forged as a result of the visit.
